Spiced Moong Daal

Ingredients
1 cup Green Moong Daal
1/2 tsp TurmericClick to find more about Turmeric Powder
2 tsp Oil
1 tsp Clarified ButterClick to find more about Clarified Butter
1 tsp Cumin SeedsClick to find more about Cumin Seeds
1" GingerClick to find more about Ginger, very finely chopped
3 Green Chillies slit in the middle
2 Onions, finely sliced
SaltClick to find more about Salt to taste
Fresh Coriander, finely chopped, to garnish


Preparation
Wash and soak daal for 30 min. and pressure cook with 1/4 tsp turmericClick to find more about turmeric powder till it is soft. Heat oil and gheeClick to find more about ghee in a heavy pan and splutter cumin seedsClick to find more about cumin seeds, then put gingerClick to find more about ginger, green chillies and onionClick to find more about onion. When the onionClick to find more about onion is soft and cooked, put the daal and adjust saltClick to find more about salt. Add a cup or two of water so that the consistency is not too thin nor too thick. Chop fresh coriander leavesClick to find more about coriander leaves and add before serving.
