A family favourite dish in which chicken is covered with fragrant spices like cardamom and cloves and slow cooked in a tomato sauce.


Ingredients
6 pcs Skinless chickenClick to find more about chicken thighs
1/4 tsp ground nutmegClick to find more about nutmeg
2 bay leaves
1 large chopped onionClick to find more about onion
1/4 tsp ground cloves
4 cloves chopped garlicClick to find more about garlic
1 peice chopped cinnamonClick to find more about cinnamon stick (about 1 inch)
1 slice fresh gingerClick to find more about ginger root
1/2 tsp ground cardamomClick to find more about cardamom
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp ground black pepperClick to find more about black pepper
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp saltClick to find more about salt
1 tsp ground turmericClick to find more about turmeric
1 can of tomatoes about 14.5 ounces


Preparation
Take a food processor; add gingerClick to find more about ginger, garlicClick to find more about garlic and onionClick to find more about onion in it.
Make the paste of it by processing.
Take a large frying pan, place it over medium heat.
Heat oil in it and then add onionClick to find more about onion paste in it and cook it for about 10 minutes by stirring it regularly.
Add bay leaves, cloves, cinnamonClick to find more about cinnamon, pepper, saltClick to find more about salt, turmericClick to find more about turmeric, cumin and nutmegClick to find more about nutmeg in it and sauté them for about 1 to 2 minutes by stirring.
Place the chickenClick to find more about chicken thighs in the pan; mix them to coat them properly.
Cook it for about 4 minutes and then pour the tomatoes with liquid in it and mix it.
Turn down the heat to low, cover the pan and keep it to simmer for about 50 minutes to 1 hour by stirring until the oil gets separated from the liquid.
