Spice blend of your own style tandoori masala to make some tikka with a salad for dinner.


Ingredients
2 pounds chickenClick to find more about chicken legs, thighs or breasts
1 teaspoon saltClick to find more about salt
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander seedsClick to find more about coriander seeds, roasted, ground
2 teaspoons garlicClick to find more about garlic minced
2 teaspoons gingerClick to find more about ginger, fresh grated
2 tablespoons lemon juice or white wine vinegarClick to find more about vinegar
1/2 teaspoon black pepperClick to find more about black pepper ground
vegetable oil


Preparation
Remove the skin and make 2-3 deep cuts in each chickenClick to find more about chicken piece.
Roast the corriander seeds in a hot cast iron skillet.
After cooling, grind to powder.
Mix all dry ingredients with the lemon juice or vinegarClick to find more about vinegar and make a paste.
Put this paste onto chickenClick to find more about chicken pieces and leave them for at least 4-5 hours to marinate.
Better if leave in refrigerator over night.

Grill method

Rub each piece of chickenClick to find more about chicken with a few drops of vegetable oil. Grill the chickenClick to find more about chicken using indirect heat over hot coals.

Oven method

Put the chickenClick to find more about chicken pieces (with the paste still on it) onto a broiler tray and cover them with aluminum foil.
Put the tray into a medium oven (350 F) for 30 minutes.
Then remove tray and pour off any liquid.
Baste chickenClick to find more about chicken with 2 tablespoons of oil and return to the oven for another 15 minutes until outside of chickenClick to find more about chicken is crispy.
Serve hot. Enjoy

This was a good recipe. Ghazzal, you can dig a hole in the ground, uss mein koilay jala kar upper lohay ki bars rakho aur phir jali rakh kar pakao. But remember to put oil on the jaali warna gosht chipak jayay ga.

hi. i am ghazal from India. i like it . its so easy and so delisious. i want know about grilling. i have no griller. kya mai coal ke upar jali bichha kar uspe ye bana sakti hu ya iron ki teeli par laga kar roast karu? plz reply me.....
