This dish has a distinctive flavour thanks to the spices used in it. Baingan Bharta is a healthy food and can be served with a variety of other main dishes.

Ingredients
2-3 medium sized eggplants (cut into slices)
2 boiled potatoes (diced)
1 tsp. red chili powder
2 onions (finely chopped)
2 tomatoes (finely chopped)
2-3 green chilies (chopped)
SaltClick to find more about Salt according to taste
2 tsp. chat masala ot to taste
350 ml yogurt
Few fresh mintClick to find more about mint leaves finely chopped.


Preparation
Roast the eggplantClick to find more about eggplant slices in hot oven or over the flame till the skin gets slightly burnt and shriveled.
Put the hot eggplantClick to find more about eggplant in a bowl of water and remove the skin. Mash the eggplantClick to find more about eggplant into pulp. Cut the potatoes into dices.
Whip the yogurt with a beater or fork to make it smooth. Add all the ingredients (red chili powder, saltClick to find more about salt, chat masala, onions, tomatoes, potatoes) and the eggplantClick to find more about eggplant pulp into the yogurt and stir with a wooden spoon.
Serve with Chapati or Nan

Aree yaar thodi si galti hogai hogi, Give them a break. Cheak out something else. people don't genrelise. Actually heres the trick jabhi app kuch banana chaht a hai just check out other websites and then comprehend.

I tried making this recipe, and I think I really messed it up. There aren't any instructions on how to prepare the onions, the tomatoes, or the chilies. I just cut them up and threw them into the mixture, and I don't think that's how it's supposed to be prepared. Are the onions diced? Finely chopped? Cubed? And what about the tomatoes? and the chilies? I've tried making a recipe from this site before, and I had the same problem. I'm not familiar with Pakistani cuisine, and I need a little more guidance in the directions.

Rated this a 5 because it doesnt say anywhere how many servings this will make and 23 medium eggplants??? how many people does this feed? I cook for only my husband and myself and find it hard to fix recipes that seem like huge amounts with no way of telling how many servings its suppose to be.
