A spicy-sweet-sour condiment made with fresh and dried fruit.


Ingredients
10 Strawberries
2 Apricots (chopped)
2 Prunes (chopped)
2 Plums (chopped)
2 AppleClick to find more about Apple (chopped)
2 Figs (chopped)
20 gms Butter
4 CardamomClick to find more about Cardamom
5 Cloves
1 inch stick CinnamonClick to find more about Cinnamon
1/2 cup Sugar
4 tbsps Lemon juice
2 tbsps RaisinsClick to find more about Raisins
10 Cashew nuts
5 AlmondsClick to find more about Almonds
1 tsp Lemon rind
1 OrangeClick to find more about Orange peel (sliced)
1 tbsp HoneyClick to find more about Honey


Preparation
Heat butter in a pan and add cardamoms, whole cloves and cinnamonClick to find more about cinnamon.
Saute for a few minutes.
Add chopped dry fruits and saute for a few minutes.
Add sugar and lemon juice. Mix.
Add a little water so the sugar does not caramalise too much. Let it boil.
Add raisinsClick to find more about raisins, cashew nuts and almondsClick to find more about almonds.
Add lemon rind and sliced orangeClick to find more about orange peel. Mix.
Add strawberries and mix well.
Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Add a little honeyClick to find more about honey (3-4 tablespoons) and mix. Serve hot or cold.
