A favorite rice recipe among all, onion and methi pulao is tasty, quick and easy to prepare.


Ingredients
1 1/2 Cup Long Grain (Basmati) Rice
1 cup green peasClick to find more about green peas
50 gms paneer (cut into small cubes and deep fried)
A small bunch of methiClick to find more about methi (fenugreekClick to find more about fenugreek) leaves (chopped)
2 tomatoes (chopped)
4-5 flakes of garlicClick to find more about garlic (paste)
2-3 green chilies (chopped)
1/4 th tsp. turmericClick to find more about turmeric powder
Red chili powder to taste
SaltClick to find more about Salt to taste
1 tbsp oil/butter


Preparation
Wash methiClick to find more about methi properly and drain the water and keep aside.
Heat oil in the pan and add garlicClick to find more about garlic paste and fry till light brown.
Now add tomatoes, peas. MethiClick to find more about Methi, green chilies, saltClick to find more about salt, chili powder and turmericClick to find more about turmeric powder. Stirfry
for 8-10 minutes.
Add rice and fry well for another 5 minutes.
Add enough water and pressure cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
Garnish with fried paneer.
Serve the methiClick to find more about methi (fenugreekClick to find more about fenugreek) pulao hot with chilled raita.
