This curry goes very well with rice.Since there is no need for marinating, you can make this curry very quickly.


Ingredients
1 lb ChickenClick to find more about Chicken
1 Chopped onionClick to find more about onion
2 Tbsp TomatoClick to find more about Tomato paste
1 Red Chili
2 Cloves
2 CardamomClick to find more about Cardamom pods (only use the seeds inside)
1/2" CinnamonClick to find more about Cinnamon stick
1 Bay leaf
1 tsp Corriander powder

1/2 tsp Cumin powder
1/4 tsp TurmericClick to find more about Turmeric powder
1 tsp Garam Masala
1-1/4 tsp Chili powder
1/2" piece GingerClick to find more about Ginger made into a paste
6 cloves GarlicClick to find more about Garlic (made into paste)
Fresh coriander
SaltClick to find more about Salt to Taste


Preparation
Heat oil.
Add red chili, cloves, cardamomClick to find more about cardamom, cinnamonClick to find more about cinnamon stick, and bayleafClick to find more about bayleaf, and cook until the bay leaf turns golden brown.
Add the onionClick to find more about onion and fry for two minutes.
Add the gingerClick to find more about ginger garlicClick to find more about garlic paste and fry for 4-6 minute.
Add the chickenClick to find more about chicken and fry for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle in chili, coriander powder, cumin powder and turmericClick to find more about turmeric.
Cover chickenClick to find more about chicken + saltClick to find more about salt (add water if needed) and cook for around 15 minutes until 3/4 cooked.
Add tomatoClick to find more about tomato paste and cook on low heat.
Just before removing, add Garam Masala and coriander leavesClick to find more about coriander leaves.
Serve warm with rice.

Sounds so good, but I use alot less ingredients and it still tastes great

I'm trying it for the second time now. I do add chicken cubes and yogurt and it turns out really tasty. My husband liked it and i've saved it on my recipe book.

Good simple recipe, add a chicken stock cube insted of salt and you will get a richer flavour.

I made this recipe today... it was realllly goood... and it came out a little too spicy... so next time i make it i will lessen the red chili powder amount. I did not put bay leaves and i put it a tablespoon yogurt later.... other than that it was really delicious.. I am saving this recipe
