A unique style of Shami prepared in a tomato juice with a blend of spices in it.


Ingredients
Lean ground lamb or beef, 500 grams
Medium eggs, 2-3
Medium onions, 2-3
Bread crumbs, one cup
TomatoClick to find more about Tomato juice, 3-4 glasses
LimeClick to find more about Lime juice, 3-4 teaspoons
Milk, one cup
Baking powder, one teaspoon (optional)
Cooking oil for frying

Preparation
Add bread crumbs, saltClick to find more about salt and pepper to milk, and mix well. Peel and grate onions. Add meat, eggs, baking powder, onions, and limeClick to find more about lime juice to the mix, and again mix well.

Heat up cooking oil in a frying pan. Remove balls from the mix about 45 cm in diameter. Form into a round shape with a thickness of 23 cm, and poke a hole in the middle.

Fry on both sides until golden. Add saltClick to find more about salt and pepper to tomatoClick to find more about tomato juice and mix well, then add to shaami and cook over medium heat until tomatoClick to find more about tomato juice is quite thick.
